Beating The Heat: Club Manila East

(c) Adcel Faurillo

Just a 40-minute bus ride from Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas you can reach the Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal.  It is perfect for family outing who wants to beat the summer heat, and those who don't want to travel for more than an hour.  The entrance fee is P375 per head if you are going in weekend and P325 in weekdays.  I think the price is reasonable enough, and it includes the use of kayak.

Blue water and green trees will captivate you.

you won't get lost
Kiddie Pool
They have kiddie pool with slide that kids will really enjoy, and many adult pools to choose from.  They have also pools which generate small and big waves like a real ocean.  They also give surfing lesson to those who want to learn the basic of surfing.  The lesson is not free.  I suggest you try this before trying the actual beach surfing.
Coco Shower
It is not your ordinary coconut tree.  It is a shower.

Kayaking
Kayaking is free but you have to wait for 5-10 minutes  for available boat.  It is worth the wait.   The depth of the water is just 4.5 feet so no problem if you get out of balance.

Boating Area
Me enjoying the kayaking
How to go to Club Manila East.
  1. From Robinsons Galleria, ride a bus going to Taytay (G Liner, RRCG).  Ask the conductor to drop you off at Club Manila East.  The fare is just P27.
  2. From Club Manila East, ride a shuttle to bring you to the main resort.  The fare is just P8
It will just take you 30-60 minutes.

Pros
  1. Life guards are everywhere.
  2. Good customer service.
  3. Clean pools and surroundings.
Cons
  1. Cottages don't have lock.  So you need to rent a locker and provide your own padlock.  The rental is P200
