Taipei Episode 7: Climbing the Elephant Mountain and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall

On our last day in Taipei, we wanted to climb the Elephant Mountain.  So after we went back to Taipei 101 mall, we headed towards Xinyi road then to Xiangshan MRT station. We went inside the station to exit its  Exit 2 to reach the park.
We followed the signs at the park. At the end of the park, we turned left then right until we reached the entrance of the hiking trail.
Continue straight after turning left from the park

There were two paths going up but we chose the left one which we thought was easier to climb.
After 8 minutes of walking there was a landing area with chairs and gazebo.
We continued to walk up until we merged back to one single path.  We reached the top after 20 minutes.  The view was stunning and worth the climb.

Climbing down, we took the other path to see what was on it.  There was also another viewing deck there.
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
We went to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall after.  From Xianghsan MRT Station, we rode the MRT going to Chiang Kai-Shek station.  It was just six stations away.

CKS Memorial Hall was built in honor of Chiang Kai-Shek, the former President of the Republic China.
