A Visit at National Museum of Natural History: Things You Need to Know

Finally after its opening last May 2018,  I was able to check the National Museum of Natural History. Here are the things you need to know.

Located within the Rizal Park complex, many people are visiting the museum especially during weekend.  The entrance is free and you just need to log your name on the notebook for record purposes. There are two entrances to the museum, facing Kalaw street and the park.  Entrance in Kalaw is for elderly, pregnant woman, and family with little children.  If you have big bag, hat, and selfie stick, you need to check them in at baggage counter.

When you enter the building, neoclassical designs will fill your eyes. The facade itself, will make you feel like you are in Europe, or under Roman Empire.

The center is very spacious, and you will be mesmerized by the Tree of Life.  Inside of it, you can see the elevator lifting the people all the way up to the top.  The area where you can have the bird's-eye view.

The museum has six floors but the first to fifth floor have galleries, while the 6th floor is a conference room and not open for the public.

Each floor will show the different biodiversity we have in the Philippines.  The different flora and fauna existing in the water and land.

One thing to look forward to is Lolong's skeletal.  Once the world's largest crocodile in captivity.

How to go here is easy. The nearest LRT station here is the U.N. Avenue Station.  If you are going to ride a jeep or FX ensure to ride the one with Taft signage.

 Tips!

• Go there in weekdays to avoid the crowd.
• Don't bring bulky bag if not needed. 
• Wearing cap is not allowed inside the museum.
• Selfie stick is not allowed.

The museum is a place to go to know how diverse is our ecosystem.
